Lyndsay Hanes

President, Metric Property Management

Lyndsay is a distinguished multifamily operator, with a proven track record of results-oriented performance. She has more than 20 years of experience in all range of assets, from high-end REIT portfolios, to A, B and value-add portfolios with large institutional clients. Lyndsay is also experienced in LIHTC and transitioning LIHTC assets through the qualified contract process for repositioning.

Lyndsay has been responsible for creating processes at two start-up management companies, leading all systems implementation and development of policies and procedures training. She has evaluated properties for purchase while continuously communicated the financial position of the assets, including projections of future trends and evaluation of the potential financial impact on each asset, always focused on maximizing property value.

Lyndsay holds the prestigious Certified Property Manager® designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management, as well as her CAM and CAPS designations through the National Apartment Association. Lyndsay is also very active with the Austin Apartment Association and is co-chair for its Legislative Committee, serving a three-year term on its Board of Directors.

Victor Aguilar

Director of Operations, Carbon Thompson Property Management

Victor has been with Carbon Thompson for the past 17 years overseeing almost all elements of their property management business. In particular, he has become well-versed in financial management, property performance, strategic planning, vendor relations and policy formulation.

His specific specialties include new construction and lease up properties — including midrise mixed-use developments — and management software setup and implementation.

Over the course of his career with Carbon Thompson, Victor has helped guide them through both up and down markets, always with a keen eye on building for future success.


Matt Buchalski

Vice President of Sales/Multifamily Investor, RealPage, Inc.

Prior to joining RealPage, Matt was a midmarket Multifamily investor, serving as cofounder and managing partner of Takeflyte Properties in Frisco, Texas.

He is a sales leadership professional with more than 15 years of experience building and leading sales teams, optimizing underperforming teams as well as having built two sales organizations from the ground up.

Matt’s focus is on advocating and working for his teams. His high-energy sales leadership style empowers them, earns their trust and helps him mentor future sales stars — all the while building world-class sales organizations. He is dedicated to best-in-class customer experiences and organizational development by being an active and visible participant in the business.

Robin Young

Head of Market Research, Buildium, RealPage, Inc.

As the head of market research for the mixed-use division of RealPage, Robin leverages her background in social science research and interest in real estate economics to uncover trends in the rental market. Her research provides small-business property managers with a 360-degree view of the industry, sharing insights gleaned from surveys of thousands of property managers, rental owners and renters each year. She’s best known as the author of the annual Property Management Industry Report, a Buildium®, Propertyware® and NARPM® joint publication.
