Pauline Houchins

Executive Vice President, Asset Living

Pauline Houchins is an Executive Vice President with Asset Living and joined the team through the First Communities merger in January 2024.  During her 25 years of multifamily experience, she has overseen a range of asset types, including conventional and new development for institutional and private equity firms.

Pauline has managed the transactions of more than 60 assets worth over $2B in collective value and currently oversees $3.5B in multifamily assets. She has extensive experience in the Sunbelt region and major metropolitan areas that include Atlanta, Austin, Charleston, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Jacksonville, Nashville, Orlando, Raleigh/Durham, Tampa and Washington, DC.  

Before joining First Communities in 2012, she was a publisher for a multifamily publication where she directed the sales, marketing and production of the Atlanta division. Prior to her publishing career, she worked within the multifamily sector at The Worthing Companies, where she spent 13 years holding various positions that included Director of Training and Marketing and Regional Development Director. Pauline is an active member of the Atlanta Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association (NAA) and holds a Lyceum Leadership Association designation. She received a Bachelor of Science in Business in 2003.

Steve Boyack

Chief Operating Officer, JVM Realty

Steve Boyack is Chief Operating Officer of JVM Realty and President of JVM Management, where he drives the strategy and vision to provide best-in-class multifamily communities throughout the Midwest. In this role, Steve is responsible for the performance of JVM’s property management platform and overseeing its corporate operational functions, including technology and innovation, sales and marketing, and asset management. 

During his more than 30-year career, Steve has demonstrated a track record of maximizing asset values by building resilient platforms and high-performing teams through his strong leadership, broad experience and keen insights. As a member of several industry advisory boards and associations, Steve is a recognized subject matter expert and thought leader with a particular focus on integrated property technology.


Carl Whitaker

Vice President & Chief Economist, RealPage, Inc.

Carl Whitaker is RealPage’s Chief Economist, leading the company's team of economists and market analysts. Carl and the Market Intelligence team specialize in analyzing and disseminating economic and market trends for the rental housing industry. He primarily focuses on presenting trends in the rental housing industry to a wide audience, including investors, asset managers, operations professionals and media, among other personas. Carl has been cited in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and GlobeSt and is a frequent keynote speaker for industry events. Carl holds degrees from the University of North Texas, including a Master of Science in Applied Geography. 

Abe Bullman

Product Manager, Budgeting, RealPage

Abe Bullman is a software and technology expert with over 15 years of consulting, management and sales experience.  Abe recently joined the Spend & Accounting team as product manager for budgeting, and he has contributed to RealPage in a number of roles since 2013.
