Market Intelligence: Q2 West Coast Update
While apartment demand stabilized across most regions in 2023, the West Coast saw demand trail other parts of the country.
Though supply remains far less of a headwind for revenue growth across most of the region’s markets, tepid apartment absorption has informed weaker-than-expected rent growth. Still, with occupancy levels hovering around historically normal levels, there may be some signs of near-term stabilization (with some highly localized exceptions to that trend).
