2023 National Renter Study: Myths & Insights
Join us for a special Market Intelligence webcast as we officially review the detailed data and insights from a first-of-its-kind study on the real behaviors, motivations and priorities of 2,000 apartment renters across the U.S.
Completed by The Center for Generational Kinetics for RealPage® and announced at RealWorld 2023 in Las Vegas, the survey was designed to give multifamily owners, operators, managers and investors a better understanding of what today’s renters actually need and want — and why innovation matters to them:
- Who are America’s apartment renters? Why are they renting?
- What are they looking for in an apartment community?
- What amenities and technologies matter most to them?
- How do these trends and expectations vary across the different generations?
RealPage market and economic experts Jay Parsons, Andrew Bowen and Carl Whitaker take an in-depth look at the renter survey findings to highlight shifting preferences, technologies and amenities — and share surprising implications for multifamily asset managers and property managers trying to realize meaningful value, growth and retention.
Revealing topics featured in this informative session include:
- What share of renters are satisfied being renters and why?
- What are their attitudes on renting versus buying, and how do they differ between generations?
- What do renters say are the biggest myths about renters?
- What do apartment renters think about the shift toward centralization?
- Which types of renters prefer to speak to someone onsite versus remotely?
- What are the most effective ways to market to apartment renters in different age groups?
- Which strategies are most likely to encourage renters to renew leases?
