Houston tops Texas in crowded apartment living, report says

Houston Business Journal (May 1, 2020) -- Not everything is bigger in Texas — certainly not when it comes to the state’s crowded apartments. Three of the Lone Star State’s largest metro areas are well below the national average when it comes to the amount of apartment space each resident can expect when they move in, according to a recent report by national apartment research site RentCafe.

While apartments in Texas compare well to the national average in terms of actual size, many metro areas in Texas have more people living under one roof than other parts of the country, the report found.
