RealWorld 2020: Improving the User Experience

The numbers speak for themselves. Attendance for one of the industry’s top networking and learning events soared in 2019, eclipsing the average from 2013-18 by nearly 15 percent.

In the last 16 years, RealWorld has become the only place where property management professionals can get hands-on training on RealPage’s latest software plus hear from industry visionaries and peers about challenges and successes in the multifamily industry.

The event continues to provide multifamily and single-family operators the skills and tools to succeed in what have become increasingly competitive industries.

“It’s the one thing that I've said: We've got to go to RealWorld,” says Colorado Casa PMI’s Nicole Reinhardt. “Because in the end, it's going to help me as a company owner grow the business as well as decrease cost.”

A focus of RealWorld 2020 in July is improving the user experience through a variety of focused training workshops aimed at beginner and advanced users before and after the conference. Each workshop offers continuing education credits upon completion.

Here’s what is being offered:

Single Family Pre-Conference Training Workshops

Propertyware Fundamentals All-Day (PW01) - You recently started using Propertyware to bring work processes to a whole new level, and now that you’re implemented and running on your own, you’re possibly questioning where to go from here. This all-day workshop will help you get the most value out of your new tool and cover core Propertyware functions and features. You will learn the “Day in the Life” best practices and workflows in setup, marketing, property management, accounting and maintenance. This workshop is an excellent option for new staff or anyone new to Propertyware.

This beginner workshop will cover: Custom Fields; Alerts; Conversations; Marketing campaigns and syndication; processing owner draws; managing prospects from move-in to move-out; posting charges and payments; paying vendor bills; monthly reconciliation process.

Propertyware Power User Hands-On Workshop (PW02) - Roll up your sleeves and prepare to tackle ways to optimize your system’s advanced functionality for your company’s unique work structure. At the end of the day, you’ll leave with actionable processes to help your team utilize Propertyware for your business. Be prepared to discuss your most challenging business processes (i.e. – eviction, move-out, move-in) with peers, compare strategies and cement your product knowledge.

Due to the hands-on nature and the in-depth content, seating is limited to 30!

This advanced workshop will cover:  Customization of user-profiles and permissions to support compliance, processing, and workflows; building custom workflows to gain greater efficiencies; gaining practical insights into using custom statuses to support unique business processes.

Multifamily Pre-Conference Training Workshops

Accounting Best Practices & Financial Reporting (RP01) - Join us for this training workshop on intermediate and advanced topics with RealPage Accounting focused on tools available to lower the total cost of ownership and best practices in RealPage Accounting. We’ll also cover new features in RealPage Accounting and how to use those capabilities within your business process. This will be an in-depth workshop with exercises to support each topic.

This intermediate/advanced workshop will cover: Using segments for better reporting and visibility; building chart types to improve GL coding and accuracy; using Workbenches to centralize process.

Affordable, OneSite Superuser Settings Review & Best Practices (RP02) - Attend this workshop to review settings, best practices, and recommendations for optimizing your OneSite Affordable Leasing & Rents Setup. Find out what the best practices and workflow recommendations can help you implement consistent policies across all sites.

This intermediate/advanced workshop will cover: How to manage your settings within RealPage Central, the Business Model and Site Level settings.

Advanced Budget Administration for Affordable Properties (RP03) – Bring your own device for this advanced training to receive step-by-step options for Affordable properties and how to optimize your Budget setup.

This advanced workshop will cover: Configuring settings that can reduce time calculating rental revenue; learning how to use new features and create property, reporting group, and portfolio custom reports from scratch or using templates; learning how to build advanced custom worksheets utilizing model and imported data, formulas and offsets.

Multifamily Post-Conference Training Workshops

Conventional, OneSite Superuser Settings Review & Best Practices (RP04) - Attend this workshop to review settings, best practices, and recommendations for optimizing your OneSite Leasing & Rents Setup.

This intermediate/advanced workshop will cover: Learning how to manage your settings within RealPage Central, the Business Model and Site Level settings; finding out how best practices and workflow recommendations can help you implement consistent policies across all sites.

Advanced Budget Administration for Multifamily Properties (RP06) - This advanced session offers training on options for maximizing Budget setup and how to use new features to optimize and save time.

This advanced workshop will cover: How to create property, reporting group and portfolio custom reports from scratch or using templates how to build advanced custom worksheets utilizing model and imported data, formulas and offsets; best practices and workflow solutions that are optimal for hosting a pain-free budget season and how to reduce time preparing the budgets and forecasts; how to utilize the forecast throughout the year to better manage the bottom line.

Affordable All-Day Training-Unified Design (RP07) - Join us for a fun-filled, all-day, hands-on training session to learn the OneSite Affordable new user interface!

This beginner/intermediate workshop will cover: A variety of topics ranging from setup to everyday processing including managing resident and applicant accounts; occupancy changes; monthly processing (compliance and accounts receivable); operational settings.
