As the 2019 student housing leasing season wraps up, developers look toward the 2020 pipeline. Though on-campus supply is expected to climb in 2020, off-campus supply should remain in line with recent history. The U.S. will see just under 44,000 off-campus student housing beds added in 2020. Schools that will claim the most new supply next year include the University of Florida with nearly 2,800 beds, Utah Valley University with 2,000 beds, North Carolina State University with about 1,500 beds, Texas State with 1,400 beds and Towson University with 1,300 beds.
