OneSite Facilities Frequently Asked Questions

How can a system as comprehensive as OneSite Facilities be easy to set up and implement?

RealPage has rolled out its products to more than 20,000 sites. The experience of our implementation experts means that the OneSite product centers can be set up quickly and painlessly—giving you more return on your investment. In addition, OneSite Facilities has a standardized system that should meet most of your property’s maintenance needs. The system can be used “out of the box,” or you can optimize the maintenance system by removing the items that do not apply at your property, and adding any items that are not already in the system.

Is OneSite Facilities easy to use?

Yes. Like all OneSite product centers, OneSite Facilities features an intuitive, easy-to-learn interface. In addition, a “quick complete” feature allows technicians to close any service request in just two clicks: one to select the service request and the second one to complete it.

Will I be able to follow up with residents when their service requests are completed?

Yes. Each property can set up the resident service request system either to close the request automatically when the work is complete or to leave the request open to ensure that the resident is completely satisfied.

If residents can submit their own service requests, will I lose control of my maintenance staff?

No. Any new service requests from the office, the call center, or your property web site must first be assigned to your maintenance staff. This allows your property to maintain control of all maintenance staff assignments.

Can I really manage my maintenance activities from anywhere?

Yes. Internet technology allows RealPage to offer maintenance management anywhere, anytime. Maintenance supervisors and maintenance technicians can manage their work using a web-enabled pocket PC hand held device and the OneSite Facilities Mobile Service Request application. Wireless coverage is limited by the wireless Internet coverage area of your wireless service provider.

I need to leave a notice for the resident for each service request performed. What do you provide?

Each OneSite Facilities printed service request form includes a tear-off portion at the bottom that you can leave in the resident’s unit.

Does OneSite Facilities include a checklist for things the worker needs to do?

Yes. Any checklist or note that you want to be included in service requests can be set up. The system can also be configured to track the completion of any inspection—or any other activity—using a service request.

Will I have to sort through my service requests to find more than one service request for the same unit?

No. The service request form and make-ready form allow related requests to be printed at the same time for each unit.

Since OneSite Facilities is a web-based maintenance tool, can I go paperless?

Yes. RealPage is offering some exciting new options, including the ability for residents to submit new service requests online, and OneSite Facilities Mobile service requests—an application that will allow your maintenance staff to manage their service request assignments using their pocket PC web-enabled wireless devices.
