Steve Winn is a true visionary who has continually identified revolutionary business concepts and aggressively pursued their development. Before acquiring RealPage, Steve was president of Research Institute of America, the largest provider of information services to the accounting industry, with more than $300 million in annual revenue. He was also president and CEO of Computer Language Research, a publicly traded company that was a leader in tax compliance, tax research, and accounting software. His foresight led to the development of the largest web-based accounting application, supporting more than 100,000 accountants in the United States. Accounting Today recognized him as one of the 100 most influential people in the accounting industry. Similar technology is now being applied to develop OneSite, RealPage’s web-based property management system for the multifamily industry.
Steve is a member of the board of directors of the National Multi Housing Council and a member of the Real Estate Council. He has also served as a member of the Stanford University Sloan Board, the American Business Conference, St. Mark’s Board of Trustees, and the American Electronics Association. As a nationally recognized expert on multifamily issues, Steve has spoken at such events as the National Apartment Association Education Conference and Expo, Multi-Housing World, the Multifamily Trends Conference, the Real Estate Council Conference Group, the National Multi Housing Council Technology Conference, the U.S. Apartment Market Conference, and the Texas Apartment Market Conference.
In January 2002, Steve was one of five people recognized by the National Apartment Association as a true leader in the multifamily industry.
Steve graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in engineering. He received his M.B.A. from Stanford University.

Alfred R. Berkeley is chairman and CEO of Pipeline Trading Systems LLC, a New York City-based firm that operates the Pipeline Alternative Trading System (ATS) that enables institutions and brokerage firms to quickly and efficiently trade blocks of NYSE-listed companies, NASDAQ stocks, ADRs, and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).
Prior to Pipeline, Al was president and vice chairman of NASDAQ Stock Market, Inc. (1996–2003), and general partner and CIO at Alex. Brown & Sons (1972–1996).
Al is chairman of the Subcommittee on Economics, Committee on Scientific Communications and National Security, National Academies; a member of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council (presidential appointment); and a member of the Advisory Committee, Applied Physics Laboratory. He is also a trustee of John Hopkins University and Allen University, and director for Webex, Inc. (sold to Cisco this June); Kintera, Inc.; RealPage, Inc.; XBRL USA (non-profit established for SEC to replace Edgar reporting system); and World Economic Forum USA.
Al received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. He served as a captain in the United States Air Force and a major in the United States Air Force Reserve.
Richard M. BerkeleyPartner Camden Partners Holdings, LLC
Richard Berkeley is a partner at Camden Partners Holdings, LLC, where he focuses on investments in the business and financial services, health care and education markets for the firm.
Prior to joining the firm in 2002, Richard spent 19 years with Alex. Brown & Sons, Incorporated and its successor organizations, Bankers Trust Corporation and Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. Previously, he was managing director and global head of the Equity Private Placements Group at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., where he was responsible for the origination, structuring, and consummation of private equity financings for private and public companies. During his tenure, Richard and his team members completed more than 135 private equity financings for private and public companies. He has served, or is currently serving, on the boards of directors of a number of private companies—including Barton-Cotton, Inc., WageWorks, Inc., and RealPage, Inc.—educational institutions, and charitable organizations. Richard is a former member of the board of managers of the University of Virginia Alumni Association, and he is former president and current member of the board of directors of the Jefferson Scholars Foundation at the University of Virginia.
Richard served as an officer in the United States Air Force between 1974 and 1976. He earned his B.A., J.D., and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Virginia.
Max D. HopperFounder Max D. Hopper Associates, Inc.
Max Hopper founded Max D. Hopper Associates, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in creating benefits from the strategic use of advanced information technologies, in 1995. Before that, he spent 20 years at AMR Corporation, an air transportation company (American Airlines) and provider of information services to the travel and transportation industry. At AMR, Max served as chairman of the SABRE Group, a technology services business with revenues then in excess of $1.5 billion.
Prior to AMR, Max served as executive vice president and chief information officer at Bank of America, where he led the reengineering efforts in the systems and operations areas. He launched his professional system’s career at Shell Oil in 1960 and served with EDS and United Airlines prior or joining American Airlines in 1972.
In 1975, Max led a landmark industry study on automating travel agencies. As a result of the subsequent activities by American Airlines and others, Max came to be known as the “father of automation” in the travel industry.
Max currently serves on the board of directors for the Gartner Group; United Stationers, Inc.; Digex; Perficient; and Accrue, Inc. He also serves on the board of directors for several private companies, predominately in the technology sector.
Max has received numerous awards over the years, including the Society for Information Management’s 1991 Partners in Leadership Award and the 1995 Data Processing Management Association’s Distinguished Information Sciences Award.
In 1999, he was recognized by the editors of CIO Magazine as one of the decade’s 12 most influential IS executives, and in 1997, he became the first IS executive to be inducted into the INFOMART’s Information Processing Hall of Fame.
Jeffrey T. LeedsCo-Founder Leeds Equity Partners
Jeffrey Leeds is the co-founder of Leeds Equity Partners, a leading New York-based private equity firm focusing on the education, training, and information services industries. Since its founding in 1993, Leeds Equity Partners, through its various investment partnerships, has raised and managed approximately $650 million of committed capital and invested in approximately 20 companies.
Prior to founding Leeds Equity Partners, Jeffrey specialized in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance at the investment banking firm Lazard Freres & Co. As a lawyer, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. William J. Brennan, Jr., of the United States Supreme Court in 1985. Before clerking for Justice Brennan, he worked in the corporate department of the law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York.
Jeffrey graduated from Yale University, attended Oxford University as a Marshall Scholar, and earned a law degree from Harvard Law School.
Jason A. WrightPartner Apax Partners
Jason Wright is a partner at Apax Partners IT/Telecom Group and focuses primarily on investments in enterprise software and technology-enabled services. Jason has been actively involved in numerous deals including RealPage, Plexus Systems, Planview, Spectrum Laboratories, WebClients and Yell, and continues to serve as an advisor to a number of these companies.
Prior to joining Apax Partners in 2000, Jason served in a variety of roles at GE Capital, including the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities for the Technology Ventures Group. He also was on the executive vice president's mergers and acquisitions advisory team, managed Six Sigma quality projects, and was a financial analyst at NBC, a GE company. Previously, Jason was a consultant at Andersen Consulting, where he worked on process redesign and systems integration projects for clients in the pharmaceutical and financial services industries.
Jason earned a BA in economics from Tufts University and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
