HUDManager 2000 Version 1.8.7.b
Now Available for Download

HUDManager 2000 version 1.8.7.b includes the updated forms mandated by HUD, released in May 2008.

The updated forms include:

• HUD 9887/9887A forms
• All Leases (Section 8, 202/PAC, PRAC811 and PRAC202)
• 27061-H Race & Ethnic Data Reporting Form
• The 50059 certification

It also contains all updates to conform to regulation changes in HUD Handbook 4350.3 Rev-1, Change-2, of June 29, 2007, released in v1.8.5.

Enhancements due to Change-2 include:

• Revisions to HUD's Model Lease require that the lease must include payment plan details if a tenant cannot pay the entire deposit by the move-in date. To comply with this requirement, the details of a security deposit payment plan must be added to HUDManager 2000. These plans are added for individual households, as needed.
• The other major new requirement states that if the owner gives a rent concession to a tenant, the owner can't bill HUD for "either the rental assistance or the tenant's portion of the rent for the month or months the concession is given." Because of this note, another new screen was added to HUDManager 2000 to record the months a concession will be in effect.
• A change in Appendix 4-E clarifies the length of the lease term. HUD now defines the standard lease expiration date as "the same day one year later." For example, a lease starting on 10/06/07 will have an end date of 10/06/08. Paragraph 2 of the Model Lease (Standard) Part 1 conforms to this requirement.
• A number of the HUD forms and leases in HUDManager 2000 v1.8.5 were updated to comply with changes specified in the updated HUD Handbook 4350.3 Rev-1, Change-2.
